For this use case, let’s consider an example company called “WareManage LLC”.

They produce parts in CNC machines, which are then transported to a warehouse.

STEP-BY-STEP

2. Install S7-2-MQTT Connectors on local edge devices

The integrators configure S7 Connectors to gather data from the machines that are producing parts, and any other equipment that is in charge of delivering them to the warehouse.

These are written onto the MQTT Broker.

3. NoSQL-2-MQTT Connector to register the values

Since “WareManage LLC” requires traceability, the positioning data for each batch is to be recorded in a query-able database.

A NoSQL-2-MQTT Connector is installed, gathering and registering data from the MQTT broker.
This provides the ability to retrieve data from specific time periods, informing of all the paths a specific unit has taken.

Why is this important?
Knowing where the batches are within their warehouse/plant and knowing where each of the workstations/machines are, “WareManage LLC” can cross this information and pinpoint exactly where each step was processed, when, for how long, and when it left.

4. MQTT Bridge Connector - Coreflux Online MQTT Broker

Now that data is flowing and being stored, the team wants to make it.
